It sends campaign updates, event and volunteer information, voting reminders, and occasional requests for support to people who have opted in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How you opt in<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You join by checking the &#8220;Yes, I would like to receive text messages&#8221; box on a form at judgehigginbotham.com and giving your mobile number. Checking that box is optional and is not required to request a yard sign, volunteer, or donate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Message frequency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Message frequency varies, typically up to 8 messages per month, with more near Election Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cost<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Message and data rates may apply. The campaign does not charge for text messages. Check with your wireless carrier about your plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to stop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reply <strong>STOP<\/strong> to any message to unsubscribe. You will get one message confirming you have been removed, and no more messages after that. You can also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT.
